Journey

I began my creative journey at the age of 13, initially focusing on function. My first project was building a doghouse for my dog. Shortly after, I fell in love with the craft and began honing my woodworking skills by creating small side tables before discovering my true passion in live-edge and free-flowing, hand-carved furniture.

When I entered high school, I found myself at home in the shop, where, with the support of my teacher, I discovered my calling. Soon after, my uncle gifted me a welder and an angle grinder for Christmas. With these new tools, I began experimenting with metalworking, initially as a complement to my woodworking—creating legs and bases for my tables. I soon fell in love with metalworking itself, as it allowed me to express my creativity while also producing functional pieces such as hinges and other structural components.

Approach

I place function above all else, creating pieces not meant to be merely admired, but to serve as partners in everyday life. I believe this is where the true beauty of my work lies, not in something that is glanced at once and left behind, but in a piece that earns respect over time. With each day spent using it, sitting at it, and living alongside it, the work reveals its value through experience rather than display.
